The "After Tomorrow" collection melds elements from Dunhuang's Mogao Caves with modern fashion, drawing on the intricate murals of the Northern Wei Dynasties for inspiration. This series focuses on line-formed shapes and adds vibrant colours through traditional pigments, achieving a look that echoes ancient art's serene beauty. Incorporating recycled fabrics and collaborative artistry for sustainability, it pays homage to the poetic essence of life. Inspired by the loose, casual attire of the Northern Wei literati, the designs feature short bodices, wide sleeves, exposed backs, and adjustable lengths, blending historical elegance with contemporary sustainability.
Crafted from acid material formulating a “H” shaped skirt, featuring a front panel of hand-dyed cotton and linen, achieved through a natural plant dyeing process. The result is a colour that is both simple and profound, reminiscent of the ancient murals in the Dunhuang caves, which have gracefully withstood the test of time.
