Drawing inspiration from the concept of "all birds returning to their nests," this theme explores the idea of various species finding their way back to familiar and safe territories, seeking a place of belonging.
This collection promises more complexity in its designs, striving for harmony within a tapestry of differences and contrasts. It breaks away from the strictly Chinese aesthetic of previous seasons, adopting a wider, more inclusive interpretation of Chinese beauty. The colour scheme is richer, leaning towards hues reminiscent of the mid-late Tang dynasty and late Qing period, or more broadly, nature itself. Featuring shades like crimson, stone green, cinnabar, indigo, and sky blue, the collection is vibrant yet sophisticated, lavish yet restrained.
The inspiration for the entire fabric collage series stems from the ceremonial flags used in Chaoshan's deity worship culture. This skirt is designed with a still-life imagery approach on top of its patchwork foundation. The overall silhouette resembles a vase or a lantern.
